ESFEROMATIC began operations in 1969, becoming well known within the petrochemical industry, and, noting the importance of the gas and oil markets, the company began focusing primarily on this sector. In this manner, it was soon able to promote its projects, both in Gás del Estado and YPF, both companies were at their peak at that stage.

In 1972, the company began to manufacture ball valves with a fireproof design and, in 1973, they developed motorized ball valves and globe control valves, at a time when no one thought automation would have such a promising future in our country.

In its constant search for new products, in 1975 the first guided ball valves were developed.

Another very decisive year was that of 1976, when a path was opened which up till then had been exclusively set aside for gate valves: it was the first company to provide ball valves for production bridges in the oil industry, which was not very common at that stage. Slowly but surely, this element became practically indispensible in the oil industry, overshadowing other types of traditional valves.

In 1990, the company signed an agreement with the Lupatech group, from Brazil, for the sale of microcast valves. This agreement has remained strong until today.

A particularly important year for the company’s operations was in 1991, when it obtained an exclusive manufacturing license for Foxboro control valves; ESFEROMATIC is currently the only manufacturer of Foxboro V1C and V1S model control valves in the world.

In 1996, the company’s quality system was certified according to ISO 9001, through Det Norske Veritas, a system that sustains the entire line in terms of design, manufacture and services, and in manual, motorized and control valves.

In 2000, the industrial plant building was acquired. This building is home to all of it Departments: Commercial and Sales, Production and Planning, Quality, Administration and Finance, etc.

The permanent work force is made up of 60 people completely in line with the company’s policy of quality and customized attention, to whom the Customer is the leading reference and primary concern.

Personnel from different companies are constantly involved in training meetings at industry headquarters, by customer request, these meetings can also be held at the headquarters of other companies.

One of the most recent projects developed is an eccentric rotary valve for extremely critical services, with high precision differentials, fluids with suspended solids or highly corrosive, such as those used in the secondary oil recovery.

Another special product was also developed which completely fulfills the GS PVV 142 specifications, from TOTALFINAELF, a company of great global importance and considered one of the most demanding in terms of quality. It was thus necessary to execute a development project that included everything from project alterations to carrying out fire tests, in accordance with API 607, for its entire production line, in compliance with the mentioned specifications. Certification was carried out by DET NORSKE VERITAS.   

A review of regulation API 6D was recently implemented, ensuring that all the standard valves fulfill the most demanding specifications of the oil industry. Thus, the company provides valves for all the OIL & GAS companies, as well as all the other manufacturing industries. 

A distribution chain was also developed in the leading cities of the country’s interior: Rosario, Córdoba, Mendoza, Tucumán, Neuquén and Comodoro Rivadavia, to meet customer needs with as much speed as possible.

In relation to Foreign Trade, products are exported to Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, the United States, Uruguay and Brazil, with representatives and/or distributors in all of these countries.

The company joined the LUPATECH group in 2006, gaining important institutional support and greater competitiveness through the move.  

It was thus possible to enter regional markets with more strength, enriching the perceived value and substantially increasing sales.

Without doubt, this was a big and important challenge, establishing the company, which is made up of people who love what they do and are proud of its history.
